Our team is here for you

We want our guests to be comfortable, to feel good and to enjoy life. That's what our team is here for. It consists of people with very different and diverse qualifications. This means that professional help is available in every situation.

The people in our team at the Mariengarten day care center use their professional knowledge to ensure that our guests receive the support they need. We combine professional standards with personal commitment and human attention.

The professional concept of our day care has been developed by our team; it is continuously improved together.

Our team includes 3 nursing professionals, 1 nursing assistant, 2 caregivers (according to § 43c and § 87b SGB XI) and people who complete a voluntary social year (FSJ) with us.

Our house concept

Our day care center Haus Mariengarten at St. Josef Hospital in Moers is aimed at people in need of care and guests who are looking for connection and contact. It thus provides a meaningful and necessary supplement to home care. At the same time, caregivers are relieved of the heavy responsibility they bear on a daily basis.

The range of services offered in our day care is diverse: First and foremost, of course, this includes nursing support to help cope with existing impairments and to avoid risks associated with the limitations associated with the need for care. We also provide social care, and we promote the individual abilities of our guests and enable them to participate in social life.

We take care of each person individually. We look at his or her biography. We are concerned with recognizing individual abilities, possibilities and competencies and tailoring the day's activities accordingly.

Our care services in our day care include, for example:

  • Taking meals together (breakfast, lunch, afternoon coffee, snacks between meals if needed),
  • Offers for creative, musical activities and socializing,
  • Exercise activities such as sitting gymnastics,
  • Conversations and information about current events of the day,
  • cooking and baking together,
  • memory training and orientation aids,
  • organizing and celebrating festivals,
  • walks and day trips,
  • joint shopping and pastoral care.

Nursing and medical care

The necessary support in basic and treatment care is provided within the framework of the day structure. Care and nursing in day care (including accompanying therapy) are appropriately and sensibly coordinated with the service providers of home care according to the wishes of the guests.

Treatment care is provided by our nursing staff in accordance with the doctor's orders. The contact person for the doctors remains the guest himself or his caregiver. We establish direct contact with the attending physician after consultation and in case of emergency.

We stand for quality

Quality is not a matter of chance, but must be worked out anew every day. Quality that benefits our guests combines many aspects that work closely together to ensure the desired quality. These include
